the ellen degeneres show - Will Smith 12-18-08

What can one say about Will Smith except that he is just such a nice, funny guy. His family is very lucky. I saw him last year on Ellen and when talking about his marriage, he said you need to take divorce out of the equation if you want to make it. Wouldn't it be great if everyone did just that?

A Day at the Beach, Rye, New Hampshire October 22, 2007

October 22, 2007, Wallis Sands State Beach, Rye, NH

Our days at the beach are always memorable. Back at the beach, we settled in to enjoy the sun. Cynthia found a dead fish that had washed up on the beach. I took a picture of her as she pretended to eat it. As the afternoon went on, we took out the snack we brought. Several seagulls thought they would be joining us, but Cynthia told them to get away. When they would not listen, she got up and chased them away. Everyone in the area clapped.

A little while later, a woman came by with her daughter who was struggling with cancer. As she was walking away, she said, “Always enjoy your day from the beginning of the sunrise to the sunset. You never know when it will end.” We thought this was very good advice.

As it was getting late, everyone was leaving the beach. We really did not want to leave, but knew we needed to very soon. A teacher approached us and said she had been “watching” us. She said we had an “aura” about us and wanted us to join her for dinner. Since it was so late, we really needed to get home. Maybe we’ll catch you the next time.

UFO Sighting - September 18, 2007

September 18, 2007, My husband and I were enjoying a beautiful evening on our deck around 8 PM . Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a flash of light (to the East). I turned to look and saw a rather large glowing white light. I tried my best not to blink so I would not lose it. I didn't even dare to look at my husband to see if he was watching it. It stayed that size and glowed for quite a few seconds, then shrunk down to a tiny dot and traveled North, eventually disappearing behind some trees.

My husband said, "now THAT was a UFO". Of course he now denies he ever said that. I reminded him that UFO only means an Unidentified Flying Object, not necessarily an alien spaceship. He still won't admit he said it. I am a little more open to the idea that there could be other life out there somewhere, not that I'm saying there is. I just think it is something we should keep an open mind about. If we can make it to the moon, couldn't a society on another planet that has been around longer than us, make it to earth?

If anyone else happened to see the light in the sky that night, please feel free to email me at lydiablogg@gmail.com
